I'm compiling the history of the 5th Royal Irish Lancers and have come across the mention of Major George William Olden. He served in India and then South Africa. Was awarded two medals for South Africa, then the Coronation medal of 1902, the LSGC. But during the First World War he received an OBE,MC and the MSM. He then transferred to the Royal North Devon Yeomanry. A total of ten medals. Quite unique I'm sure you'll agree. But unfortunately, no trace of him in the regimental records, last appears as serving around 1911 in the Dublin census! Thank you for your help, which is very much appreciated!Regards Don McLean
